This set of three tree ornaments is hand-carved by West Africa's Daniel Nyadedzor, depicting the three kings who proffered gifts to Baby Jesus. Because each ornament is individually carved and painted by hand, the features may vary slightly from those pictured.

After completing a course in auto mechanics, Daniel found it difficult to get a job, and neither his parents nor he could afford the high cost of the machinery he would need to set up on his own. He struggled by doing menial jobs, but he managed to save what he could until he had enough money to buy a small piece of land and raise a wooden store. He started buying finished carvings, and in the evenings he learned to carve these beautiful items. His inspiration comes through dreams, so when he wakes up, he immediately puts the design on paper in order not to lose the idea.

The ornaments are made of Sese wood and are an original NOVICA fair trade product in association with National Geographic. Each one comes with an official NOVICA Story Card certifying its quality and authenticity, ensuring an exceptional artisan quality by Emmanuel Nyadedzor.
